Jonathon, that is really a great idea - the Gen X scrapbookers need to have a cooler scrapbooking place and I think you made one that works great.

Hi!

I came across your site today and was wondering if you’ve ever checked out muvee.
I’m not sure if you are familiar with muvee but we create automatic video editing software and services for consumers – perfect for your audience.

muvee Reveal is the successor to the award-winning muvee autoProducer series. With HD support, a wide array of personalization features, new styles, DVD quality preview, one-touch transfer and an array of sharing options, Reveal is the easiest home movie making software on the market. It’s also reasonably priced at $79.95.

This software is ideal for the digital scrapbooker that wants to create a home movie or photo slideshow to share with friends and family. To see a demo of how the software works click on "quick tour": http://www.muvee.com/en/products/reveal/
I’d love to send you a product key to check it out if you are interested. Look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Lindsay

A really awesome site to create your own custom photobooks on is Smilebooks.com. I recently created one of my last vacation to California, and the photobook came out absolutely beautiful!

I have used other sites to create photobooks in the past, and none of them have come out as amazing as my Smilebook did.

There is a coupon code running right now, for you to get 30% off your smilebook, use this coupon code ZA30. So visit smilebooks to create your photobook today!

Absolutely a great read. My brother and I started a digital scrap-booking business late in 2007. In 2008 we pretty much didn't push the idea of the business, here in 2009 we are pushing it like crazy and it is really taking off. We should have had this kind of drive in 2008 !! This day in age a website is a must for any business to succeed!

Generation-X Albums

again this was a good read and it was dead on ... this is the new area for scrap book keeping.

Picnik, FotoFlexer or Lunapic are great all round web based and FREE editing tools. Adobe, makers of the expensive Photoshop, now has a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. There are also free tools to add text blurbs, to make collages, to put your photo into other images. There are a number of tools that allow you to put the image of a face into other photos for some fun creations. Check out the links below for more ideas.

Edit Photos
Photos into Art
Photo Faces
Funny Photo Tools

Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.

There is also new freeware version of Windows Movie Maker that works on Windows Vista, XP and even Windows 7. Microsoft has added and deleted features from each version and this version has all the features from each version plus some extras.

I use photoshop. I think it is the best because you can enlarge the photo and blend the person in the background at the 1 pixel level. Will be blurry as you are doing it but you can not tell.

Video editing. Depends on how detailed you want to get. Movie maker is great for free software. i use it all the time at work. You can add effects, adjust sound levels, etc.
References :
Try Picabo. It's a neat site! You download the software to your PC so you don't have to be on-line to create a book. It's free to download, and create but you need to purchase the book when you are ready to print it.
